Review: The Black Opal wine are sourced from vineyards found in South Australia along the Limestone Coast, at Langhorne Creek and in the infamous Barossa Valley. Black Opal Shiraz is rich red in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, pepper and spice followed with rich plum flavors round out the palate. Soft tannins give structure to the fruit-driven palate.

My Review: In this wine, I smelled fruit and berries, which made me excited to try the wine. I prefer the more fruity whites, so I was looking forward to actually enjoying a red. The taste was much smoother than other reds I have had and I tasted an oaky, wood taste, much more than the fruits I was expecting.
